Our London walks have dropped from a trio to just Lily and I as Mark has gone back to work. I’ve always loved an audiobook and for the next few months I think I’ll have more time than ever before. So far this year, which seems to be flying by, has bee busy in all sorts of ways and it might be feasible to get to The 40 Books I’ve Read In 2014 and perhaps even tie the record of the 17 books I read last Summer (here). In the past six months I have only read a few I would recommend and those include the Venice sketchbook, the Empire of Pain: The Secret History of the Sackler Dynasty, and Sooley.
The last book I finished was Kristin Hannah’s The Four Winds and I know it is already few weeks into June but this is what I have read ( and listened to) this year and what is on my list for the rest of Summer.
1 | Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark T. Sullivan
2 | The Whispers by Ashley Audrain
3 | The Last Kings of Shanghai by Jonathan Kaufman
4 | Really Good, Actually by Monica Heisey
5 | The People We Keep by Allison Larkin
6 | Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult
7 | All the Broken Places by John Boyne
8 | The Paper Palace by Miranda Cowley Heller

If you want to check on my progress I am sure I will do an end of year recap but I will also provide updates periodically on LTK. have seen the handful so far this year you may notice a big difference in the books I choose to read and the ones I listen to with Mark but each have their own merit!
The majority of the 18 books above on my Summer reading list have been recommended by family members, Instagram followers, and Good Reads, but I could always use new ones, please let me know if you have any in the comments!

Great selections and so many new ones to add to my summer reading list.
I just finished one that was really different and super sweet based on a true story called Becoming Mrs. C.S. Lewis. So well written in my opinion that I felt like I was right there with the charctars.
Happy summer reading.

I have read a lot of these and I love your book selections. I look forward to reading the ones that I haven’t read.
I just finished reading The Magnificent Lives of Marjorie Post by Allison Pataki. It was fascinating. I love reading books about strong women.
