01/16/13 | books, celebrity

Audible.comI am absolutely in love with my Audible account. I found out about Audible through a Pandora commercial and I am really glad that I did.  I just finished my seventh audio book with the company and I loved it.  This one, The Attenbury Emeralds, was a bit different than the books I usually listen to as it was not by one of my favorite authors or a celebrity autobiography but I enjoyed it none the less.  I would really recommend Audible to anyone and everyone because it is so easy to use and works on smart phones.  All books are minimum 30% less than the price you would find them at the bookstore and can be significantly less than that the sticker price.

I have the gold account at Audible which charges my credit card $7.49 per month and allows me to pick any book in the store.  My absolutely FAVORITE feature is that if you begin listening to a book and ten minutes or even two hours in you realize it is not for you you can return it and get another free of charge!   For example, I understand Gone Girl was critically acclaimed and loved all around but it really was not for me so Audible took it back, no questions asked.

This is not a sponsored post, I actually just love Audible!
Do you listen to books on tape? What do you think of them?

Audible has some great language lessons set to music called, Earworms. When I first moved to France I downloaded a couple and they were brilliant! 🙂

I so wish I caught this post BEFORE my long 12hr road trip!!! Sometimes it is just better to hear books on the road than music. Granted, your playlists start to repeat after awhile and then it just gets .. challenging. lol Thanks for the info!

Really cool. I had an Audible account back in the day and I couldn’t get into it. I enjoyed hearing the story from my own perspective instead of a strange Russian lady. Haha. But maybe, I’ll give it another chance some day 🙂 Thanks for sharing, hun.

im not actually sure I would like audiobooks, because I read quite fast and wouldn’t like the speed they read at. although, if it was tina fey narrating her own book, that’d be pretty funny!
