Happy Friday! It has been a great birthday week, albeit busy, but very please that I was able to share a new blog post every day this week. Granted, this Fashion Friday is a bit late, being published in the evening as I sit on a train on the way to Paris. This week I wanted to share this great day-to-night look, something magazines when I was younger convinced me I would need but is really not true. I wore this when my parents were in London in August and shot these photos before dinner in Marylebone down one of the adorable muse streets.
This blue abstract dress is a very interesting one in my closet. If my weight yo-yos sometimes it fits and sometimes it does not – happy to report that currently this is one of those times it does. Plus this is the second Fashion Friday this white bag has made it into lately, the first was the Nice in Navy Lace post from late August. Even though it was a 2020 birthday present from Mark (we got it in Italy) I have not had that many opportunities in the last year to use it so I am glad this was one of them:
Dress | Necklace | c/o
Purse | | Shoes | J. Crew Mirror metallic high-heel sandals (similar)
Last featured it in a 2016 post called A Floral Midi for the Win and I am curious, which way do you think I styled the dress better?
What do you think of this blue abstract dress?

Very professional looking for an important business meeting look.
Bet you can dress it down a bit for date night too.
Great fit on you.
My boyfriend would like this look on me too I think!

Lovely dress. Perfect dress for work or date night. I love those silver metallic high heel sandals too. I had a wedding Saturday night in Long Island and boyfriend and I have a blast. I wore a pink dress with a killer pair of heels and boyfriend had to limp along with a hamstrung pull. I just hope its not a torn hamstring. We will know Wednesday. Thank god the wedding was outside socialist NYC with all of the stupid covid mandates.

Pretty in prints, yes I do like your dress.
I have a similar one but this one is nicely fitted at your waist and the skirt has such a nice flair to it. Not over done as many of them are. Perfect dress when you need to go to work and then have dinner or drinks with friends or co workers afterwards.
Good call.

Incredible how well that purse goes with the dress. Picture perfect.
Makes for a great outfit.

Really pretty print. I just realized that most of my dresses are solid color with a few florals thrown in for summer wear.
I must inadvertently shy away from prints.
Going to work on adding a few to my wardrobe.
Thanks for the introspection.
