When we were in New York a few weeks ago I planned an afternoon in Brooklyn. Yes, it is true that I used to live in Brooklyn and did not have the best time there but that borough of New York City does have a few redeeminging qualities and one of my favorite is Smorgasburg. Smorgasburg is an outdoor foodie market on Saturdays that takes place in the East River State Park, on the far West side of Williamsburg. I have taken a whole host of people to try the international food from more than 70 vendors at Smorgasburg (and even blogged about it back in 2014). This time we enjoyed Mexican street corn, Asian tacos, delicious pulled pork, and fresh watermelon juice while wandering the stalls and taking in the gorgeous view of Manahttan.
Post lunch I convinced my boyfriend to snap few photos – and by a few I mean 180 – of my look and the gorgeous backdrop, it was too pretty to pass up! You have seen this dress a few times, first in Cape Cod a few years ago and then last year at Sparkles and Shoes birthday brunch in London and while not my typical style it is one of my favorites. You all know from one too many Fashion Fridays I love a dress that allows a good twirl and I also love an open back so a dress that combines both is a winner in my book.
