White after Labor Day? Go for it! I am a firm believer in dressing for the weather and dressing in what you like and if that means white in Winter or Black in Summer, you do you! Last month I wore this adorable – and very affordable – white dress in Amsterdam. I originally got in 2021 because when you are a bride-to-be in seems you need more white garments than I can count.
In case the nickname “Venice of the North” does not ring a bell it is one of the many nicknames for the capital of The Netherlands. I wore this dress on the Sunday during our long weekend in which we battled the heat wave and went on a canal boat tour. The day before we took a bike tour around the heart of the city and learned there are four times more bicycles than cars in Amsterdam. But how many bikes are there in Amsterdam you might ask? Depending on the source the numbers vary from 850,000 to 900,000 and stats say that it’s likely 80% of Amsterdammers own a bike and almost 60% use their bikes on a daily basis. Besides bikes that inhabitants actually ride on there are dozens of bikes covered in faux flowers chained to lamp posts. I thought this one was particularly cute despite its’ somber location outside of the Anne Frank house.

This dress is one of the most lightweight ones I own and it packs incredibly well. I have worn in many other cities and countries, including in Charleston on my bachelorette last year, and funny enough I wore it with the same shoes!

Lovely summerly little white dress paired with those cute embellished t-strap sandals to show off your pedicure. Perfect warm weather dress. Boyfriend loves it when I wear white dresses. I always love wearing a summer white dress after Labor Day till the weather gets too cold. Then sadly I put the summer whites to the back of the closet for the winter. Today for work I am wearing a little white dress with red high heel sandals. Going to a pre fashion week party after work. Can’t wait to have fun. Been wearing dresses and skirts mainly since late May. Finally wore jeans yesterday because of rainy weather here. As for wearing black dresses in summer I love that too.
