Happy Friday! For the first time in as long as I can remember I have weddings both this weekend and next weekend which makes me over the moon happy! I am in Chicago right now for my cousin’s wedding and then back in England for Mark’s friend’s wedding next Saturday. I will be sure to share the outfits I wear to both in future Fashion Friday’s but for today I want to share with you this gorgeous back sequin dress!
At the start of the month I had a fun Sunday in Soho shooting with the company Infinite Closet. I will be doing a full feature on the brand next month but they are an independent designer rental platform based in London. Similar to Rent the Runway in the United States, Infinite Closet UK offers luxury pieces at a more affordable price while also still being sustainable. This dress I am wearing is from the designer Retrofete which was founded in 2018 by Ohad Seroya and Aviad Klin, and they are known for their womenswear with intricate details and sparkling embellishments. This specific black sequin dress I am wearing is called Grace and is a hand-stitched sequin dress that features a keyhole cutout back. It retails for £595 but you can rent it for far less! Take a look:
Dress | Retrofete Grace Black Sequin Belted Dress
Earrings | Kate Spade New York Rise and Shine Pearl Studs Mascara | Lancome Grandiôse Extrême Mascara
Lipstick | NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment Liquid Lipstick in Don’t Stop
Nails | Kiss imPRESS False Nails in Navy Shoes | Black Ankle Strap Sandal (Similar)
If renting this dress does not work for you (sizes, dates, or location) I have also found four other black sequin dress options! And even though the Nordsrtrom sale is over many are still on discount and all of which are ready to steal the show: Lulus Forever Your Girl Sequin Body-Con Minidress, the Fraiche by J Cowl Neck Sequin Long Sleeve Minidress (now 40% off), the Chi Chi London Sequin Body-Con Dress (also 40% off), and the Mac Duggal Sequin Fit & Flare Cocktail Dress.
What do you think of this black sequin dress?

I like the dress very much, simple but elegant at the same time.
I wish more people would offer sustainable clothing. I know about the bamboo based ones but never anything in the dress up mode. Good call.

Never really focused on sustainable fashion before but glad that someone is.
You would never know that that isn’t just a great hot little number to go clubbing in or to a great party. You are killing it. Great hair and makeup too.
Lana says
All I know is you look dropdead gorgeous in that dress. It really shows off your toned legs and I can tell by the look on your face how pretty you feel. It’s a winner.

Welcome back home to the USA. I can see that you are ready for a wedding. This could be one of the dresses you wear for your next 2 weddings. I love the way you styled your hair. I have my cousins wedding to go to next month and I am looking at what dress should I pick and what heels will I wear. Happy that its not in NYC because with all of the stupid covid mandates I could not go. Its nice to have major events like weddings to go to again. Enjoy Chicago and enjoy the wedding.
