Happy Friday and welcome to one of my favorite Fashoin Fridays of the year! Mark and I just shot this look on Sunday (five days ago) and while I had something else planned for today, I could just not wait to share this look! I recently ordered this sweater and the formal name of the packaging made me laugh “collared balloon sleeve jumper”. First of all, let’s start with balloon sleeve – I guess that is what you can call this style where this is more fabric on the arms and then a tapered wrist, but still a funny name. And I am not sure I would go so far as to say balloon, to me that implies I am drowning in it. And then jumper, that term just makes me smile. It is what the Brits call as sweater and while I would never say the word out aloud when describing a piece of clothing I have been getting used to it as you need to type that in when online shopping if you are looking for sweaters.
Despite the funny description I fell in love with the floral collar and the bow detail plus I love just how feminine the ribbed trims are! I paired the top with white jeans and black boots and realized it needed a pop of color. I added the red lip and then kept going, also grabbing a red handbag. It was actually this bag’s first time out as it was a birthday present from Mark and bought it for me at a small boutique in Italy. The bag does not have a brand name or a style number and I can not link it but I but found the closest alternative and have also linked it below! I love that the British people call it a jumper, it sounds so much more polished but it also sounds like an athletic event, no?
