March marked one year of living in our London Flat and seeing as I’ve been working from home that whole time a few things have changed. There have been little tweaks like new plants and big ones like our spare bedroom being transformed into a home office and gym. And now that the year mark has come and gone the one thing I have still been missing was art for our bedroom, specifically art for over our bed. I have struggled with this space because the headboard is attached to the wall and came with the flat.
The space over our bed is so large that a framed print would not do the trick. After a few futile months of searching Mark and I even spoke about getting three photos and making a triptych for this space. Finally my search which has spanned nearly fourteen months has come to a close. You may recall last year I featured the Swedish company Photowall in my Bedroom tour and this beautiful framed print of Waterlilies by Claude Monet. I am teaming up with the company again and they gifted me this gorgeous print of an Icelandic waterfall. As mentioned, the headboard made the size of the art crucial so Mark and I measured we ordered the Godafoss Waterfalls canvas with our custom measurements of 150cm x 50cm to fit. When it arrived it was easy to build, it only took Mark and I a few minutes, before it was beautifully hanging above the bed. Before I share more pictures though, what do I mean build it? This canvas print is delivered unmounted, which makes sense as it is nearly five feet, and the rolled up print arrived with an easy to build frame, no tools required!

I can’t believe how closely the blue Hues match each other. Really stunning.

I am so glad you found something that would fit your space. I know how hard it is to find art in the perfect size.
