Happy Friday! It is the start of a long weekend here in the UK (you’ve got to love Bank holidays) and while I’m excited it’s also a mix of emotions. Today is my moms birthday, a milestone birthday at that. Living abroad I miss making plans with family more than most people could understand. Over the past few months you better believe I looked into at least half a dozen ways to make it to the US for my Mom’s today, but no such luck. I am not opposed to bending the rules occasionally but it is actually illegal for me to leave the United Kingdom right now and unfortunately a parent’s birthday is not one of the reasons you can leave. So instead I’m going to rely on the postal service and FaceTime to get as close to normal as possible.
However like some of my other friend my moms birthday is not a event in that we get in touch, we speak nearly everyday. We have for years and this is not about any topic in particular but recently many of our chats have involved wedding planning. And I have to say the world’s biggest THANK YOU to my Mom fit everything she has done so far for my big day.
Everything from rearranging the vendors with our new date to the smallest details of the welcome gift bag. She is more involved and more detail oriented than any wedding planner than I could have hired, plus she is much more affordable. And these are the kind of unsolicited texts you want to get you hyped for your big day , “you are going to me the most beautiful bride”. Thanks Mom, I appreciate you more than you know, happy birthday, and I can’t wait to see you again.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Your mom is right, you are going to be the most beautiful bride and looking forward to all of your photos from the big day.
You are so photogenic and have such great taste that I know the whole event will be a home run for you and all of your guests.
