Layering with a Hooded Cardigan

One my least favorite things about New York City in the Winter is absurd changes in temperature throughout my day.  I would wake up in a warm apartment, walk through a freezing neighborhood, board a boiling subway, head back out into the artic temperatures, and then enter a warm office all before 9am.  This meant I had to dress in an absurd amount of layers to stop from both freezing and overheating and while not as extreme that is similar to my work from home days now.  Each room of my flat is a very different temperature and I having been trying to get outside at least once a day. 

Thus I have reverted to my New York Winter attire in dressing in layers and a great piece for this is my hooded cardigan.   There were five patterns available but I purchased this Hooded Long Cardigan Sweater Coat in the jumbo zig zag print.  I was originally on the fence about it because I have seen sweaters like this in the past not fit well but the price from Nordstrom Rack could not be beat and I figured if it did not fit well, I could always return it!   Even though this may look heavy it is actually relatively lightweight and the attached hood is such a fun statement detail, don’t you think?
