One month ago while in Bath the latest UK lockdown was announced. Instead of getting bummed Mark and I decided to truly enjoy our weekend away to the romantic and ancient city of Bath. I have a recap of our weekend coming up soon but until then I wanted to share what I wore for our day of exploring. Mark was kind enough to take these shots in front of the Royal Crescent, a row of 30 Georgian-style terraced houses laid out in a crescent which dates back to the 1760’s.
This is not quite as glam as some of my other looks but for a rainy day with a lot of walking, a typical Kelly outfit. You have seen this jacket a few times and I even did a recap last fall called Really Love My … Barbour Jacket – it really is such a great versatile piece. It is not the classic quilted one but for living in England having one with the waterproof waxed finish really is clutch. As this jacket is navy I also paired it with a pair of navy shoes. When we were in Bath back in January I found a pair of my favorite Caprice Amelia ankle boots boots in navy (I already have them in light brown) and they have already got a good amount of wear considering we have been in lockdown for most of the time since then.
Jacket | Barbour International Outlaw Hooded Jacket, Navy
Dress | Joules Genevieve V-Neck Spot Print Dress. Necklace | Kate Spade New York Scallops Pendant Necklace
Bag | Prada Vitello Daino Shopper Belt | Madewell Leather Crisscross Skinny Belt
Tights | Spanx Luxe Leg Tights Shoes | Caprice Amelia Womens Zip Fastening Ankle Boots
As I mentioned, Mark took these photos and after we were done I wanted to get one of us. usually I would have asked a stranger to take one but with socially distancing and the spread of COVID it did not feel like a good idea. Thus, I balanced it on a the edge of the fence (dangerous, I know) and was able to get a few good shots!
What do you think of this travel style?

Bath is such a gorgeous city, I hope I can visit again soon!
I have such fond memories of my trip there about 15 years ago. Would have been so fun to teleport back in time to see it in all its glory.

Mixing navy and black really works here, it is a combination I am usually nervous to try!

The photos of you throwing the leaves are adorable. It was always one of my favorite things to do in the fall was to hear the swish of the leaves as I was walking or make a big pile of them and jump in them or throw them all around. You brought back some great childhood memories for me.
