This year I got to spend more than a week in Florida with my family and I am utterly grateful as I know many did not have this opportunity. I am now back in London, reunited with my love, quarnatining for 10 days, and under a stay at home under until at least mid February. But my break was wonderful. It was so good to see sunshine again, hug my family, work on some wedding planning, and see the doctor a few times about my knee.
I thought long and hard about not sharing photos at all but I really don’t like lying and I took all of the precautions – paperwork, tests, legal checks, and more to ensure that this could happen. I shared a few photos on Instagram but to make sure I solidify their permanence, here are a few more:
The colorful Florida sunsets are one of my favorite things!
I have learned that the best way to get better at sports is to practice. To be honest, my tennis skills are not great but thankfully my family are both great coaches and patient teachers. Plus it is a fun way to get exercise and I’m definitely tried to maximize my outdoor time before I returned to London lockdown!
The ahi tuna salad on the beach is one of my favorites.

I made sure to swim laps outside as often as I could.
I also tried to get in a good number of workouts at the gym as they are all closed in London.
Opted for red wine instead of bubbles this year for NYE, it felt fitting to end 2020!
For the past few days I worked from home with quite a view.
Quite pretty, no? There is a reason I ended on that last photo because while I am back to work In London the vista from my desk looks nothing like the one above – just an overly grey London skyline. It was good while it last though and I am eager to return in May for our wedding!

Any photo of Florida is my favorite especially this time of year. My pick would be the Florida Sunset one. If I was you I would have stayed in Florida longer especially if Mark was there with you. Most places in Florida Open. NYC has outdoor dining only and because its too cold it really just delivery or takeout. When I was in Tampa in November most places were open and were almost normal. London Lockdown is worse I see. Going back to Florida in Mid March. Can’t wait to slip into a bikini by day, dress and heels by night.
