Welcome to the first Fashion Friday of 2021! The holidays may be over but according the calendar, Winter has only just started! Sure, it is time to take down the tree and pack away the ugly sweaters with Santa’s face but in my mind, some holiday pieces can stay around a bit longer. One example? This J. Crew tartan ruffle top. Unlike many pieces in this pattern this shirt is made of a breathable cotton and the ruffle detail on the shoulders gives it just a little something extra.
Even though the top is a lot I decided to pair it with this great statement necklace I picked up from Target. After the whole bubble necklace trend I took a step back from oversized pieces but I have slowly started reintroducing them into my wardrobe. They are particularly helpful when trying to accessories a patterned top or dress as dainty pieces tend to get lost in bold prints – enter statement necklaces.
