See You in the Purple Rain

“Never meant to cause you any pain,  I only wanted to one time to see you laughing, I only wanted to see you in the purple rain”   We took these photos this weekend and driving home while wearing this sweater the Prince song Purple Rain came on.  Not only I started singing along to the song but it brought me back to my last office in New York City where all of the conference rooms  were named after Prince songs.   Clearly there was Purple Rain but also  Lady Cab Driver, When Doves Cry, Controversy, Pearls & Diamonds, Delirious,  and Let’s Go Crazy.

I am sure there are more but I can not remember them off the top of my head – though I can tell you it was not every song as “I Wanna Be Your Lover” or “Erotic City” are probably not the most HR friendly name for a conference room.   This while this purple Merino sweater is made of wool it is extra fine (19.5-micron) and is not too heavy – perfect for a early Fall day.  I also love that it is machine washable because dry cleaning is such a chore, especially during lockdown.  This   is from Uniqlo and is currently 25% off – happy shopping – and I decided to pair it with a black trousers and metallic accessories.  Looking back I am not sure the last time I wore these Ted Baker pumps but I did do an entire feature on them nearly three years ago which you can find here.  Now take a closer look at this purple Merino sweater:
