While this is surprising to some I have been making a bigger effort the last few weeks to dress up for each work day. True, my commute is down to only a few steps but that routine of putting on the kind of clothes I would wear to the office and doing my makeup helps me mentally prepare for the day. Plus, I am ready in case anyone asks if I could quickly video call.
What do I mean by that? Well in particular I like dresses as they are easy and then cute earrings because most people are only seeing me from the neck up. Dresses like this are perfect for these days at home, especially as my boyfriend likes to leave our porch doors open so even on warm days the long sleeves are quite helpful. Plus I have got feedback that I have not featured many office looks in recent Fashion Fridays. While this black and white number does have a slightly cinched waist I also added a blank belt to break up this spot print dress. And when I finished putting this look together I thought it needed a pop of color and that these purple suede boots would add a nice touch!

I love this dress on you. Perfect work dress for in-between weather. Can work well for AC environments too. I love those purple suede boots too but they are too pointy toe for me. I need the round toe option for my big feet. I would match this with either my blue or red high heel sandals. My winter boots, clothes are all pushed to the back of the closet till October.

Nice that the dress is not too low cut. I find especially when video chatting that I have to make really sure that everything is covered up but don’t want to look like a prude.
This fits the bill nicely. It also looks like it won’t get rumpled after a day of meetings or travel.

I never in a million years would have paired that dress with those Ted Baker Qatena Tie Block Heel Ankle Boots in Purple Suede but I really like the look. You have such style and are daring to try new looks together.
FANTASTIC and I am going to have to steel that combo. I am usually more boring with a black or brown boot or heel for my dresses in keeping with the one you featured. Love it.
