Happy first week of September and Happy start of my birthday month! As I mentioned in this post I got a lot of great pieces in my latest Shopbop order and one of them was this Free People Just Like Honey Lace Dress. I love the ivory color and especially the back, it is just so pretty and because it’s off white I feel it is totally fine to wear after Labor Day if the weather permits. But heck, as NYFW is in full swing the biggest rule is that you can break all the rules in particular the one that says you can’t wear white after Labor Day.
Originally I thought this look would work for my first music festival that I attended last weekend but after looking at pictures from previous years and consulting with a few friends I realized I was mistaken – it is too fancy of a look and heels are DEFINITELY not the way to go. That was a major bummer to hear because since I picked up this dress a few weeks ago I have not had a great place to wear it yet – I may just have to make an occasion! I know the twirling shots may seem a bit funny but I wanted to make sure I really captured the fun movement of this Free People Lace Dress. Oh, and these shoes? This dress is soooo pretty! Honestly I bought a romper and knew it was way too cold to wear it but I was so determined to wear it , I just wore it out to dinner. So I think just go for it. Even if you look way more dressed up than everybody else!

I love your white ivory dress. To me wearing white after labor day is fine as long as it doesnt rain. As for the shoes They are beautiful and comfortable to wear all day. I have the black version of those sandals. How was the fashion show last night.
