It is a bit crazy that we are already in the fifth month of the year and I have only had two new additions to my Sparkles and Shoes Style Icon series. They were both incredibly talented movie stars, Lupita Nyong’o and Margot Robbie but if you have been following this for a while you will know I like to feature women of all ages and backgrounds. In the past I have shared the garments of ladies from around the words, from their mid 20’s to late 90’s, including fashion designers, bloggers, super models, writers, reality stars, and oh, and of course royals. Today’s latest style icon is a royal but perhaps from one of the family’s that makes the press less often – Princess Sofia of Sweden.
Unlike some, Princess Sofia, whose formal title is the Duchess of Värmland, was not born a royal – she only became a Princess and member of the Swedish royal family when she married Prince Carl Philip in 2015. The 35-year old was a glamour model before her royal role but in the past few years has bene quite busy with charity work and is now the mother of Prince Alexander and Prince Gabriel. Oh, and last month after doing an emergency training course is now volunteering at a hospital in Stockholm, assisting at a hospital during the coronavirus pandemic. But now back to Princess Sofia’s Best-Dressed Moments:

Sophia certainly was a gorgeous bride and I always think that a man in uniform is the bomb. So classy and elegant a couple.
She certainly does look good in everything she wears and not hard to picture her as a top model.
I would love any of her outfits from the casual to the stunning black tie ball gowns she is wearing.
Lori says
Her style is awesome and so is her figure and even after two children.
She has such a nice smile and great story about her working to help those who have caught the virus.
Good choice for a style icon Kelly, you are right, you don’t see her in the press much.
Jessie says
She certainly is gorgeous and he is not too bad to look at either.
Super adorable couple and I also really liked her casual look in those white wide bottomed trousers.
Sophie says
She certainly has fabulous style. Not sure which outfit I like her in the best but the pink dress at Drottningholm Palace is my favorite color on her.
The swoosh of the skirt is a fun contrast to to demure fitted bodice of the dress.
Nan says
She is fantastic.
