It is true, I post a ton of photos of beaches first because they are one of my happy places and second because my parents live at a beautiful one. When I was visiting Cyprus and told people I was going to Ayia Napa I was told by nearly everyone that I was not to miss the famed Nissi Beach. As I was staying in the center of the city I walked the two miles from my hotel and was able to still get a beat chair and umbrella for 5 euro even though it was already mid day when I arrived.
I spent ht majority of my day on that chair, reading a book cover to cover, and taking in the gorgeous water. I read one review that described Nissi Beach as a, “Beautiful beach with white sandy beeches and crystal clear waters. Gets very busy though understandably” and I would completely understand. Take a look:
This is definitely a very popular beach – especially since the water is clean enough for the beach to have been awarded blue flag designation – and the facilitates for food, drink, restrooms, and entertainment are plentiful! The beach stretches for 500 metres though as I was alone (you can see more of my solo travel here) I did not stray too far. However, at low tide it is possible to wade to the island just off the coast and my only goal was to take in the vantage point. However, when I saw the sign advertising the Drone Zone it took less than 30 seconds of deliberation to put my name down on the waiting list. I could not find a website but you can find their Facebook page here. If I went back I would absolutely have done some of the water sports like waterskiing or windsurfing but I always love needing a reason to go back to a gouges spot. Take a look:
Would you want to visit Nissi Beach?

Wow. This looks like a lot of fun. The water is so clean. This is a must visit for me one the world returns to normal. I love your blue bikini. Waterskinig is so much fun. It’s too cold in NYC right now for the beach. My bikinis are ready and I can’t wait to slip into one. Maybe my girlfriends pool next weekend if it warms up.
