There is something about pom poms that just scream Summer to me and considering that it is now the second Friday in May and also a bank holiday here in England it feels like Summer is nearly upon us! This dress with it’s lightweight weave is the perfect pool coverup and with the braided tie at the waist makes it not look like you are wearing a sack but something still covered enough you could wear to a poolside cafe or walk into a shop pre or post beach. The only negative is that it is dry clean only but the 100% cotton means it is quite breathable even on the hottest day!
I paired this dress with my oversized Gucci sunglasses which are great for any sunny pool day, especially for those who still like to read while they are relaxing! A few good book reads I recommend are Where the Crawdads Sing, the tear jerker Postscript (P.S. I Love You, #2), and the Jojo Moyes novel The Peacock Emporium. Next up on my list are Walk the Wire by David Baldacci, the NYT Bestseller Little Fires Everywhere, and the very popular London book The Mirror and the Light (it’s in all the shop windows). But enough on books for now, if you would like a post about those let me know, but for now, back to Friday Fashion and this Gingham Mini Dress.

Just looking at these photos makes me wish I was going somewhere warm this bank holiday weekend instead of staying in our London flat but glad to know I have this cute dress on hand for when it is safe to do so again!
