Happy Friday! I shared this look on Instagram when I wore it two weeks ago and I like this outfit for two reasons. The first is these is a combination of so many of my favourite pieces – and it just so happens all three are black – my leather jacket, this Prada bag, and my trusty Spanx begins. Speaking of Spanx I recently saw they came out with an active wear line and I can not wait to try those out! But back to today’s post and the second reason I like it -this is a real outfit. This is not to say the looks I post for Fashion Friday are not also real outfits but many of them I have to carve out time shoot particularly around when I have a photographer to help with the shoot.
Today’s post – this casual look in Greenwich – was an impromptu shoot when Mark and I were on one of our long London walks and I thought the background would be good for some photos. While I was born in a town called Greenwich (in Connecticut) the Greenwich I am referring to here is the original one, a neighbourhood in South East London. It is has many old gorgeous buildings and this one is aptly named the Old Royal Naval College. It is right on the banks of the Thames and included in the Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site. It dates back 1969 which yes, is more than 80 years before America was even founded. While I have walked by it a few times in the past year sadly due to COVID it has been closed. Hopefully in a few weeks it will reopen and I can get a chance to explore the inside including the Painted Hall which is on my London wish list. Until then, take a look at this Sporty Spice look:

I find it really hard to do a casual yet cool look when I am dressing down. The pop of red in this top is just what the outfit calls for and you nailed it.
