My Manicure Secret, Press on Nails

04/02/20 | Beauty, Fashion and Style, Kiss Products, nail polish, Trending

White Press on Nails at Home

I first introduced you to my favorite press on nails in this post, Fake Nails on Fleek , which I shared in May 2015.  Since then they have made an appearance in over 200 of my outfit posts, nearly every fashion Friday over the past few years.  That means I have gone through dozens of packs and have perfected the tips and tricks of these press on nails.  At this point I actually spent more time picking out the sizes for each nail than I did putting them on.

It is ironic that this exact brand and style is the first kind of press on nail I have tried as an adult and in a pinch I have tried a few others brands since and can attest in both the US and the UK the imPRESS manicure sets are apparently one of the best you can buy for under $10 / £8.  And now for a new overview off the process:

  1. You open the container
  2. Use the alcohol pad to clean your nails
  3. Pick out the sizes
  4. Lay them out matching you hands
  5. Peel the stickers off all of the nails
  6. Press them on to your own.
  7. After 7 days or if they start to get loose, peel them off
  8. Start again!

The specific nails I will be putting on today are the KISS imPRESS Press-on Manicure in a white shade called Next Wave. Take a look at my weekly ritual, going step by step:

Over the years I have introduced these to many friends, coworker, sand family members who love them as much as I do  though they do take a little bit of getting used to if you are not used to having long nails – I used to struggled with opening the clasp to my necklace, peeling the foil off hummus, opening a Diet Coke can, and twisting the paper towel wheel.   Now after practice the only thing I do not do is open a can of soda as the nail can pop off!  And I will leave you with a quote from the original post, ” I think they look like gel for a fraction of the price!

Would you try these press on nails?

I have to try this for my next big party or wedding. I normally don’t use press on nails because I am in a bowling league. These would break off during bowling. I normally polish my nails every 3rd or 4th day. Easter is coming up. I have my nails painted in pink for the start of spring.

My friend just forwarded me your post o these nails.

These are going to save me so much time. Great idea, no more trips to the nail salon waiting in line, breathing in all those chemicals and then half the time they smudge or gt a chip in them after two days.

    Super tip.

Super idea especially as no nail salon is open near me and I am spending so much time on my computer now that a fresh set on nice looking nails will put a little smile on my face.

Looks easy enough. I will have to give them a try. A lot easier than going to the nail salon each week which by the way I can’t do now anyways.

This looks so easy to do and I do read your blog and always think to myself how nice your nails always look.

You have tipped me over the edge and am going to have to try it. I have been scared to do it myself as I can be a bit clumsy but going to give it a go this weekend.

    Thanks Kelly.
