Today’s post is not just inspired by the fact that I currently live in England but this tiny country on the edge of Europe certainly does make it’s mark on the world in different ways and most recently, with English tweed. We saw this on the runway from Chanel, Lanvin, Salvatore Ferragamo, JW Anderson, and the queen of Brits herself, Victoria Beckham. However, the coat that went down the runway in Paris from Chanel has a daunting “price upon request” label and the closest alternative I could find was close to £8,000. And because that is just a little bit nuts, I have rounded up more affordable options you can shop right now to help bring the runway to life.
Loveless round neck tweed jacket Karl Lagerfeld Tweed Captain Cap
Alila tweed tote bag | Gaelle Bonheur tweed mini skirt
Harris Tweed Black and White Houndstooth Scarf | MIA Snip Snaps Hair Barrettes
Gucci Jordaan Tweed Loafers | Red Valentine Herringbone Tweed Skirt
I do not yet own anything in this ideal Fall / Winter print but hopefully that will change shortly. And an honorable mention goes to the adorable Dolce & Gabbana tweed jacket | but at more than $1,500 felt it was a bit too steep to include in this round up!
What do you think of the English Tweed trend?

Just Goes to prove never to get rid of your classic pieces of clothing. I’ve kept a blazer and a skirt in Tweed for years and glad it’s coming back in style. Yeah my husband won’t make fun of me keeping them all these years

I have always liked this trend and really like the scarf in the photo. I think I’m going to get it for my mom because it will go really well with a couple of her coats. I also think that purse is a really interesting twist and have never seen anything quite like that.
Interesting selection thanks.

Too funny I was just reading about the return of Tweed and hounds tooth and one of the fashion magazines. Seems to be the latest trend.
I like your selection of new ways they have interpreted this classic pattern.

A great tweed skirt is such a classic look. One of my go to looks that I can dress up or down and it never goes out of style.
