As most of you know, I am at my parents house in Florida right now for Thanksgiving but when I get back it is all things Christmas in London. Next week I have two work parties in the evenings and then on the weekend I have a Black Tie Christmas Gala. Normally I would go all out for this kind of affair – I love getting dressed up and a bit of sparkle, especially at the holidays. When I first got the invite I thought of this dress but then got more details – particularly that it is a more conservative ball – so no high slits, plunging necklines, or low backs. This created a bit of a black tie dilemma as neither of the two long dresses I have in England quite meet the criteria for this event.
Thus, I did what I do best – researched the heck out of it online and ordered quite a few dresses to my parents house to try on. Here are my top three options – ignore the shoes – for the ball next weekend, which of these do you think I should wear? (I was going to show you the photos on the models but that is not usually a good representation of what they look like on a real body so here they are):
OPTION ONE:
VIJIV Vintage Long Formal Evening Gown in Mermaid Black Sequin
OPTION TWO:
Berydress Halter Fishtail Formal Gown in Burgundy
OPTION THREE:
Beagimeg Elegant One Shoulder Backless Evening Dress
So now that you have seen them, help me out, which one would you choose?
Oh ,and in case anyone else is looking for gowns I ordered a few more which either did not fit right or did not look great on me but may work for you and they were: the Halston Heritage Strapless Stretch-Crepe Gown in blue (too long), this fuchsia Milly Cady Gown (too low cut) or this Off Shoulder Side Split Slim Evening Dress (too tight on me).
Thanks so much in advance for helping me solve this black tie dilemma!

You mentioned conservative gown and I chose the burgandy but also liked the one sleeve. Enjoy the Florida pictures. It is so pretty there!

You are so gorgeous in all of them but I think the red is my fave!

All great choices but I would go with outfit #2. Personally I would have a large slit to show some leg and shoes and a plunging neck line. You should show off your gorgeous legs. Happy Thanksgiving

Skipping my department’s Christmas party this year because i didn’t get promoted, toxic senior environment which I need to get away from and the cost $125 usd a head. Instead I am going to my boyfriend’s department Christmas party. His party has cool people, in the office and it’s free. All we have to do is to make the baked ziti and bring it in the office. My outfit is already planned. Little black dress with my highest red high heel sandals for good weather. Bad weather it’s a stylish glittery jumpsuit with my high heel open toe booties.
