Holiday Glam in Green Velvet

It’s the weekend, it’s the weekend – the weekend is finally here! YaYy! Welcome to the first fashion Friday of the holiday season and I am so excited for all of the red, green, sparkle, and velvet. As I mentioned on Instagram over the course of an eight day period I have four holiday parties – some for my company and some for other companies and I am sure they are all going to be great.  What to wear to a holiday party is particular tricky as many people co me from the office and I work in a place where jeans and sneakers are acceptable but last night I wore this and it seemed to go over quite well. 

However, if I was going to take it up a notch this shimmery velvet dress hits all the right notes in a sexy yet festive way with ruffle cap sleeves and the braided tie at the waist. I am not sure if you can tell but it is actually a waist dress and I must tell you, I have a very, very hard time keeping it closed all the way.

Shoes | Badgley Mischka Moss Ankle Booties

I must say though, these Badgley Mischka shoes are everything and then some.  They give me a nearly four inch boost making me just about 5’10 and I am obsessed with the sheer cage aspect of the ankle booties combined with the satin trim and the tiny row of crystals.  Combine that with the exposed ankle zip and I was pretty much in heaven from the moment i opened the box – swoon! What would you wear to a fancy holiday party?
