Hi, how are you? I hope everyone in the U.S. enjoyed the 4th of July! It was my first time not being in the country during Independence Day but instead spent it exploring Helsinki which was very different but amazing none the less. Since Friday evening I have been on the go exploring Copenhagen, Denmark and Helsinki, Finland and while full recaps are coming from these two stunning Scandinavian cities I wanted to share a quick live update while I am still abroad:
When I posted last month about all of the things I wanted to do in Copenhagen I thought it wouldn’t be possible to do them all but I’m thrilled to report back I did everything except one; Amalienborg Palace, Christiania, Chrstiansborg Palace, Church of Our Saviour, the Little Mermaid, Nyhavn Canals, Rosenborg Castle, Tivoli Gardens, and Torvehallerne. And the only thing I didn’t do was the the free walking tour because I upped it a notch and opted for a four hour bike tour instead I also added in the Round Tower, a bunch of street food, a Michelin a star restaurant, and made friends with a few locals. Take a look at some of the best shots from my adventures (and of course, full recaps will be coming):
The second capital I have visited so far is Helsinki and while it was a last minute addition to my Scandinavia trip I am so glad I decided to add it in. This charming little city was filled with so many adorable quirks and even though I’m already off to the next place I’m happy I was able to squeeze it in. As soon as I got off the plane and dropped my bags at my hotel and then headed to the place I was most excited about – the Allas Sea Pool which was a combination Finnish sauna and heated outdoor pool. Of the course of the next 24 hours I had rooftop drinks, a delicious traditional dinner, a self guided twilight tour of the old town, a delicious early morning breakfast, visit to the Old Market Hall, an extensive walking tour, and an afternoon at the Fortress of Suomenlinna, and enjoyed an early evening cocktail before heading back to the airport.
By the time you are reading this I will be on to the next stop, Stockholm! Be sure to stay tuned to Snapchat and Instastories (username: kellydonlin) for the latest travel updates! And as I start to write up all of the posts is there anything in particular you are interested in reading more about? Let me know in the comments!

Wow. Sweden. What a beautiful place. Are you far enough north to see the midnight sun. This is on my bucket list to travel. Boat cruise there would be awesome. Fashion Friday from Helsinki. This should be fun. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your trip.
