First, I must admit, the title of this post is a bit misleading. Why? It is not actually the second time I went on a swing in Bali or even the second of a two part post about a rope swing experience. In fact, this is an overview of the FIRST time i went on a rope swing, but since it was not as good as the first, I am calling it part two. Make sense? If not, feel free to stop reading and just scroll down to all of the photos, haha.
I also strategically planned this post to go live today because editing the photos and writing the dialogue really made me be in a warm pace. Thus, .good thing in two days I will be on the beach in the Mediterranean. When I say Mediterranean beach I would imagine people automatically think of Spain, Greece, Italy or maybe even Croatia but that is not quite where I am going. On Tuesday evening I will be on a place to Cyprus to get my next level of PADI scuba diving certification but also for a bit of R&R. But until then, let’s go back to Bali and this Ubud jungle swing.
On my first day in Ubud I did a full tour of the top attractions and the driver brought me to this very crowded swing over the rice terraces. It was a good experience, getting a chance to swing for a while both front facing and rear facing, but the other one takes the cake – both in terms of wait time (there was none), height of the swing, length of the ride, and quality of the scenery. This swing set me back 150,000 Indonesian Rupiah, which again, sounds crazy but equates to 10.66 US Dollars or £8.54. Even though this was not my favorite Bali swing experience, take a look at my ride Ubud Jungle Swing ride over the Natural Rice Terrace:
And then it was time to stop the swing, have me turn around, re-apply the harness, and swing backwards on the Ubud Jungle Swing. And yes, you will see this post tagged as “solo travel” because I was by myself but my driver took most of these shots on my DSLR and then in the photo you see above, a kind stranger also took my iPhone to get even more shots! Thank you kind people!
Would you go on an Ubud Jungle Swing?
