An outfit post on a Tuesday? What a shock! Usually I only feature outfit posts on Friday’s but sometimes it is a bit fun to shake it up and try something different, today with a polka dot midi dress. But before I get into that, I want to wish a very VERY happy 30th anniversary to my wonderful parents! I love you both tremendously and I hope you enjoy this special day! Okay, back to fashion, and it is actually quite fitting that my mom snapped these photos last weekend while she was in town for Mother’s Day.
You may recall I wrote a post back in January about my experience with the company eShakti and my first custom made dress – well they were nice enough to send me another one and I just couldn’t wait to show you! Polka dots are one of my favorite patterns and when I saw on their website they have an entire section devoted to them I knew whatever I picked out was going to be from that category. I did not realize until after the fact that belt / ribbon is supposed to be tied in the front, not the back, whoops! Now I know for next time! Take a look at this Polka Dot Print Dupioni Midi Dress, I just love the movement!

And in case you thought this dress looked familiar, you would be right, you got a sneak peak last week during my Mother’s Day recap post! Here it is again:

I think you look gorgeous in that dress. I like the belt tied in the back. It adds interest and detail back there and I think in the front it would detract from all the beautiful details such as the neckline, the fitted bodice, and that generous gathering of gorgeous dots at the hemline. I assume, you are in NYC? It’s so beautiful there. I love the architecture. I have a passion for wrought iron.

I want that dress. Flirty, fun yet elegant without going overboard. Is it comfortable? Will it pack well? Gorgeous!!

I love your pink polka dot midi dress. You are styling and profiling with this dress. OK the bow belt should have been in the front but this should be part of your June Dress Challenge which I hope you will do again this year. I see that you have your go to pair of Steve Madden Stecy Sandal for summer. I already got the black one for this and I am getting the red one which will go great with my short white polka dot dress for my friend’s birthday party on Sunday night in Virginia Beach. Flying out Thursday night. Now its Fashion Tuesday for you. What will fashion Friday be this week.
