Welcome to the 5th Annual Recap of the Academy Awards. My favorite part of the Oscar’s last night, as it usually is, was the outfits and you can find my picks from previous years here. This is only my second Red Carpet recap of the year, the first being my picks for the Best Dressed at the 2017 Golden Globes, and now we are back at it again! In case you did not watch last night the 89th Academy Awards was quite the show and Jimmy Kimmel was an … interesting … host. Congratulations to all of the winners and now my winners from the red carpet featuring a ton of white, metallic, and black perfection!

Instead I watched from NYC and these images are from the Marie Claire Red Carpet wrap up. It was a quite a night and you may have seen a few of my tweets but of all of them, one I wanted to share!

Again, congrats to all of the winners and thank you for a generally great red carpet with quite a few lovely performances though my favorite was still the definitely the opening number by none other than JT!

Karlie Kloss and Octavia Spencer were my favorites by a landslide! I feel like Chrissy (while I LOVE her) always wears white, so I would have loved to see her mix it up – even just a little bit.

This had to be one of the best red carpets I’ve seen in awhile. Everyone looked fantastic. Isabelle Huppert was one of my favorites as well. I also thought Hailee Steinfeld and Viola Davis had the most stunning gowns.
