It’s Time for a Change

02/13/15 | celebrity, hair

After scrolling through photos from this past weekend I do believe my hair is longer than it has ever has been.  For the past year my goal has been long and healthy hair but I am sad to say it has begun to thin significantly as it has gotten longer and while it that does makes it easier to curl or straighten, I miss my luscious locks.  As a result I am thinking of a taking a big step and chopping it off and am trying to decide how short I want to go.

Sparkles and Shoes Long Hair

In case you are new to Sparkles and Shoes my hair has been through a variety of shades over the years, including one time I dyed it black.  Over the summer I seriously considered an ombre look but never went through with it – now I have decided it is time for a change. Here are a few ideas I am considering, inspired by celebrity transformations. My thought is to go to not necessarily short but to a medium length that dusts my shoulders:

Rosie Huntington Whitley Hair Transformation - Long Hair to Bob

Selena Gomez Hair Transformation - Long Hair to Layered Lob

Brooklyn Decker Hair Transformation - Long Curls to Bob

Megan Fox Hair Transformation - Long Hair to Bob

Kate Mara Hair Transformation - Long Hair to Bob

Kate Beckinsale Hair Transformation - Long Hair to Bob

What do you think? Should I make the chop?

Go for it! Hair is so much fun to change! If you don’t like it, you can just grow it back out! 🙂

I can’t decide what I’m going to do at my next appointment. It’s coming up fast. Long? Short? Blonde? Brunette? I’m so torn. It’ll come to me though.

I say do it! BUT, start with a lob, like Meghan Fox. From experience, I wish I had started longer first! Good Luck!

If you ends are thinning, they are not being trimmed properly. Don’t get upset and give up. I know there are so many woman who resent seeing other woman with gorgeous long hair. They feel better if they see another woman give up and get a frumpy short haircut, then try to justify it as stylish, in fashion, claim they are rocking it… But short hair is just plain frumpy. Ask any guy, if he is honest enough to tell you.

You have the prettiest long hair! But I also think you could pull off a chunky, just below the shoulder style too. Either one!

I’ve been in the process of writing a pretty identical post, I’ve been pondering the same thing for a couple of months now, think we should be brave and just do it?? x

I think your hair will look incredible like this! I’m a huge fan of the ‘just below the shoulders’ look. I recently chopped off a huge chunk of my hair, and I’m loving it so far.

I like the beachy waves rocked by Rosie H. W. and the edgy chopped locks on Selena G. Those shorter glam looks are my vote! 🙂

I think a little below the shoulders is my favorite look! Lobs are so cute and a slight ombré would look great!

I chopped my long hair into a bob about a year ago and I loved it for a little while and now all I want is my long hair back. Unfortunately, getting it back to where it was is going to take more than a year. I also had no idea that short hair would take me so much longer to style. The shorter it is, the more you really have to give yourself a blowout to make it look good. Plus, it’s way harder to curl and you burn yourself more (maybe that’s just me). If you’ve set your mind to it, you’ll probably do it but I wish that I hadn’t.

I always think, if you change your hair, it’s not forever. With that in mind I think you should go for it! Your long hair looks great but if you fancy a change then get it cut!
I had long hair for years, then one day I decided to get it cut shoulder length. It seemed so short but I loved it and got so many compliments. Now I have been growing my hair for about a year and a half and get compliments on my long hair. I love my long hair but will eventually get most of it chopped off again. Hair will always grow 🙂

I like your long hair… tough to choose which one would look best on you if you do decide to cut it.
