Window Pane Print

Welcome back to Fashion Friday! Despite this being a short week it feels like it was one of the longest in a while but that always seems to be the case – squishing five days into four.  But now it’s almost the weekend and to celebrate my favorite day of the week today I am sharing one of the most typical “fashion blogger” looks I have ever put together – a structured jacket draped over the shoulders. Despite being a common look on many blogs and across Pinterest I have only tried it a few times but I don’t know what I was hesitation about –  I love how it looks!.

Today is a crazy 65 degrees in New York City and the first acceptable no-tights day of 2017 but this is definitely an anomaly.  We are still solidly in tights season which is how I styled this black and white window pane print dress! Some people, including the dress maker, call this a plaid print but I call it windowpane print and this look was modeled after a look put together by one of my favorite bloggers Annabelle Fleur of VivaLuxury.

I have worn these boots many times since I got them over the summer at the Nordstrom anniversary sale and I am so glad tehy cross seasons so well as this look is very different than these two warm weather looks I put together..  The Stuart Weitzman Highland Over the Knee Boots, which I wrote about here, are still on my long term dream less but for right now I am quite happy with these Steve Madden ones!
