Powerful Purple Eyeliner

One of the best things about having your own blog and being the sole contributor is you can write about just about anything you want.  And if that means I want to start at least one post a week by commenting about the weather here in New York City, even if that is only where 4% of my readers are, I can with no problem. And let me tell you, today is going to be 75 and sunny and I am absolutely thrilled about it.  Sunglasses and cork wedges, I am so excited for the first pairing of the season. As the temperature heats up my style starts turning more and more colorful and that does not just end at my wardrobe! 

Occasionally, perhaps once a week, I trade my usual black eyeliner for a few swipes of bright blue.  The last time I did this I got four compliments from the most unlikely people and I realize sometimes switching up your look – especially in a casual work environment – can make all of the difference. I have a few great blue liners but now I am looking into to adding purple eyeliner to my collection. I think a pretty purple pop like this look from makeup artist Sharon Farrell is just so pretty:

Don’t you agree? Isn’t the combination stunning?  I think the purple is just so pretty, a great pop especially with her blue eyes. Now my eyes change colors frequently but the majority of the time they are some shade of blue!   I will definitely be turning to Sephora for my new purchase and after a bit of research here are the top six options for purple eyeliner at my favorite beauty store:
