My Christian Louboutin Wishlist

03/18/16 | Christian Louboutin, Wishlist

Christian Louboutin Kristali Laser-Cut Metallic Leather Pumps

Christian Louboutin Kristali Laser-Cut Metallic Leather Pumps

Happy Friday, it is Friday, we made it to Friday!  For some reason this week seemed especially long, perhaps because while the days are longer the warm Spring weather took a hiatus and it was chilly this week.  Ignoring the fact that it might tactually snow this weekend let’s talk about something that makes me happy  – shoes.

I don’t own a pair of gorgeous red-bottomed Christian Louboutin shoes but they are on the top of my list.  In case you did not know, they are basically the crème de la crème of footwear.  I have heard from many that if you are going to invest in a pair of red bottom shoes you want to go with the “So Kate” pump that is literally described as, “a classic shape that’s saucy in glossy patent with leg-lifting elevation.”  And with heel of almost five inches (4.8″ covered heel) and a single sole the Italian made shoe was not built for comfort it was meant to be stunning.  Take a look at the classic nude:

If I was to get a pair of Christian Louboutin’s my first choice would be black followed closely by a nude pair.  After those two classic options, in his hypothetical dream world there are handful of statement pumps ranging from $695 to $1,295, which I do understand is ridiculous but lots of people spend lots of money on silly things, that I have had my eye on for ages. Right now my top five Christian Louboutin wishlist pumps are:

Christian Louboutin Pigalle Follies Floral 100mm Red Sole Pump, White:Multi

Christian Louboutin Pigalle Follies Floral 100mm Red Sole Pump, White/Multi

Christian Louboutin Pigalles Follies Patent Red Sole Pump, Turquoise

Christian Louboutin Suellena Laser-Cut Peep-Toe Red Sole Pump, Silver

These five are all great statement pieces and would be the standout item in any outfit. Just scroll back up and take another look, these truly are works of art.  Pumps are the most versatile type of shoe and can be made to work year round but honestly, this is a wish list so while my I favor the classic shapes there are also a few booties I have my eye on. I would like one of each of these three please:

Christian Louboutin Gaetanina Paneled Red Sole Bootie, Black

I think the black and the red offset each other beautifully in these shoes. And the man responsible for all of these gorgeous shoes? Christian Louboutin himself.  While I have admired his shoes from afar since I first learned what they were in the sixth grade I only recently learned more about him after a great feature in Harper’s Baazer.  I really like this photo of him and his entire life story from high school dropout to Charles Jourdan employee and then launching his company in 1991 and last year he sold 600,000 pairs of shoes a year. So yes, along with a dozen pairs of his shoes I think he would be a fascinating dinner guest!

Do you have a pair of these gorgeous red bottom shoes?

I just got my first pair last month! While they are unfortunately very, very uncomfortable, I still love them. You feel so empowered wearing them, that I am already thinking of the next pair I’d like to get! lol. I actually wrote a review on my experience with them, finding the right pair/style, etc, just a few posts ago! <3

Aren’t they all so gorgeous! I have yet to be brave enough to purchase a pair for myself, but I’m totally in love with all your choices. They’re all so stunning!

So many pretty pairs of shoes! I’d love to own a pair of Louboutins one day but I’ve heard so many horror stories about them been so uncomfortable. I’d love a classic black or nude pair though! xo

Ahh! I’ve always wanted a pair of Louboutins but could never justify them enough to purchase. Maybe for my 30th birthday I’ll finally splurge!

Kelly, this post really made my hart beat faster! Reminds me of my first (and only!) pair I got myself right after moving to some little town in Northern England. Very soon it turned out that hills and cobbled streets weren’t quite what you call ‘Louboutin- friendly’ and my beautiful (beautiful-beautiful) black platforms got destroyed immediately, after my first trip to the city centre! But well, I’m sure one day I will buy another pair. Until then I ‘keep having dreams’ :)))

    Lots of love,
    Mal
