New Year’s Eve in Naples

Happy New Year!  For the second year in a row I spent New Year’s Eve in Naples, Florida with my family. I have celebrated the new year in New York City a few times and I have to say, I much prefer the Florida weather and a free ride home from one of my parents, especially after the Uber fiascos.  

For the big night I wore a more conservative dress than I would have worn in the city with friends and it worked for the laid back evening plus it was so nice not to have to wear a jacket! I opted for a black peplum dress with gold beading complimented by red nails, a gold cheetah ring with emerald eyes, the ombre heels I purchased in Vienna, and a gorgeous ear cuff that you will see more of later this week. 

The party was at a friend’s house complete with a good bartender, a great DJ, and wonderful desserts. With more than 75 people at the celebration we all helpfully wore name tags but as mine did not stick to the material of my dress I placed it on my cup. I had a great time dancing, chatting with friends – new and old – and counting down the minutes until 2016 with my family.
