In August of 2012,  I was fortunate to visit Niagara Falls with my family to help my maternal grandparents celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary!  Even though this is not considered one of the official  Seven Natural Wonders of the World I really beg to differ!  Spending a long weekend on the Canadian side of the falls was absolutely breathtaking!  We explored the Canadian side of the historic falls, visited the adorable town of Niagara on the lake and had a vineyard tour and dinner at the breathtaking Trius Winery.

For the long weekend I stayed on the Canadian side of the falls, truly enjoying the splendor – the views from the hotel room were amazing, the Maid of the Mist tour is really a must (where my mom referred to us as “Blue Hershey Kisses”), and the journey beneath the falls was truly spectacular.

Niagara-on-the-Lake
This quaint little town is absolutely gorgeous and if you are at Niagara Falls it is definitely worth the 35 minute drive to this quaint little Ontario town.  Not knowing what to expect I was stunned by the beauty and enveloped by all of the amazing food.  I am sorry to say I was so enthralled with the little town that I forgot to take many pictures (gasp).

An absolutely amazing vineyard and a great place to cap off a fantastic weekend celebrating my grandparents big anniversary (and the wine was delicious)!

    Well being from Canada i can proudly say ive been there many times…..sometimes more for the casino lol. So glad you were able to come to this side, i love the wineries we have , so beautiful in the summer. The one you went to is a really good one too. Love the pictures!
