Cape blazers are all the rage and it seems everywhere I turn I see them. Granted, not this week because NYC is pulling this awful joke called single digits with windchill which is causing everyone looking like a shapeless woolly mammoth, but before that, everywhere. The majority I have seen have slit sleeves and lightly padded shoulders to give them structure.
I have seen them described as an update to the classic blazer but I am on the fence. I think if you have the right attitude and style the cape blazer in a certain way you can kill this look, here are a handful of fashion bloggers and a few street style photos of girls who rock the cape blazer:
