Agate is a beautiful stone and I love all of the different size, color, and texture variations in which it occurs. Growing up my grandmother had a beautiful lavender colored piece of agate with natural stone surrounding it and the edges dipped in gold. I remember picking it up and playing with it every time we went to visit and being mesmerized.
Only recently I have seen more and more agate pieces popping up on Pinterest, on One King’s Lane, and on other home decor channels. In particular, the photo above caught my eye, especially that beautiful blue agate bookend on the desk.
