Beautiful Tattoos

03/27/14 | assorted, Netflix

I have never gotten a tattoo and I never seriously thought about sitting down in that chair and the needle buzzing but I admire them from a distance.  I have fantasied, watched dozens of episodes of LA Ink and Miami Ink, and truly enjoyed the Ed Hardy: Tattoo the World documentary on Netflix.   That said, tattoos fascinate me.  On one end, I love dainty tattoos and the other end I think full back pieces are incredible.  Here are some of my favorite beautiful tattoos:

Tattoo Inspiration: If Your'e a Bird, I'm a Bird The Notebook
Tattoo Inspiration: Harry Potter 9 3/4 and Dainty Elephant
Tattoo Inspiration: Feather Behind the Ear

Tattoo Inspiration: Wrist Tattoo Love What You Do and Bow

if i’m a bird    //  9 3/4   //  elephant  // feather behind ear
full back branches //  full back portrait  //  three birds  // wanderlust
live forever //  love what you do // bow // fly
small star  // infinity finger // new york city skyline // lotus flower

How do you feel about tattoos?
Ps. Today is my half birthday which means ice cream for me!

I’m not generally a tattoo fan. I think its partially due to my fear of needles and partially due to the fact that there are so many miserable tattoos out there, or really dumb ones haha. But I do like many of the dainty ones you chose to feature!

I LOVE that feather behind the ear. I want a behind the ear tattoo bad but I can’t figure out what I want. That might be an option. I have 2 tattoos both in memory of lost loved ones. My husband has both his ribs, and both sleeves done. Needless to say, we are totally ok with these beautiful works of art, even if they are permanent. haha.

I love tattoo art but I am not sure I’d ever get one!

I really like the little bow, even if I always wanted on my wrist a little four-leaf clover formed by four hearts!

We must be on the same wavelength today because I wrote a whole post about how I feel about tattoos. i don’t love them although I can appreciate something that is a work of art. I really love the font for the “love what you do” wrist tattoo.

    Happy half birthday.

I definitely really love dainty tattoos. My favorite from yours above is the little bow.

But I am terrified of needles (serious phobia here).

I have a tattoo and I’ve never regretted it–I love it! That elephant one is adorable.

Happy Half Birthday!! I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a tattoo, but haven’t been able to make the permanent decision yet! I love the little ones though – behind the ear, on the wrist, under the hairline on the neck, etc. Great inspiration 😉

I have one tattoo (so far) and I definitely love it- no regrets there! You and I have similar tastes in tattoos… I’ve always really loved the feather behind the ear. I am drawn to pieces that can be hidden if necessary. I also really like word tattoos (that’s what mine is). Happy half b-day!! xoxo
