Drinking, Networking, and a Giveaway

A few weeks ago, pre-knee surgery and pre-crutches, one of my blog sponsors, Smirnoff, was kind enough to invite me to an event.  The Salon was an three hour mixer that brought together a few dozen entrepreneurs, primarily women, from around New York City.  I was surprised that I qualified but I guess as an entrepreneur with this here blog of mine.

The premise was for young women to meet each other, share their stories, and network to become even more successful.  The event started off with a two hour open bar with Smirnoff cocktails. I was happy to see them so prominently displayed and the bartenders had three great drink cocktail options made with the sorbet flavors. The invite stated:

“The best way to predict the future is to CREATE it.” – Peter Drucker.  Come celebrate 2014 and mingle with local NYC entrepreneurs.  Tuesday  January 23rd 6-9pm  at Above Allen 

Event includes:

• Speciality cocktails from Smirnoff 

• Appetizers from Blue Ribbon and Hot Blondies Bakery

• Music by DJ Swami 

Above Allen is a great rooftop bar in SoHo found on the sixth floor of the Thompson Hotel.  In the summer the roof semi-retracts for a wonderful breath of fresh air but because this was during the polar vortex it was shut tight.  Take a look at the event:
