Galavanting at the Gala

I have been talking about it for weeks and often when I hype something up it falls short of my expectations but the Homecoming in New York Gala on Friday night was a blast and was even better than I thought it would be!  I went to the gala last year and I was really excited that it was hosted at the same venue, Gotham Hall (see the second photo). The doors opened at seven and it was an evening fill of open bar, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and dancing. I was a few minutes late because I got my makeup done by the lovely Emily at the 34th Street Sephora but I made up for lost time!

The tag line for the event, “Georgetown alumni of all ages are invited to gather for this special night and celebrate the Hoya spirit and our Georgetown community beyond the Hilltop” was so true!  The attire was cocktail and dressing up with a bunch of my friends was a blast:

Oh, and then there was a photo booth.  It was pretty fantastic: 
The party didn’t stop at 11pm when the gala ended – half of the gala’s 300 attendees moved from the classy establishment to an Irish Pub three blocks away. 

It was a really fun evening, thanks girls!
