Every girl should have a classic pair of black patent leather pumps. They are definitely an investment piece and sure to be one of the most versatile in your wardrobe. As I have mentioned before, although I have quite a shoe collection I really do wear them – buying shoes to have them and to sit on a shelf is just not my thing. This week I chose to post about these shoes because I brought them to Chicago on Tuesday for my business trip and are also in my suitcase ready to be worn for girls night this evening in Washington, D.C. – they go from office to cocktails, brunch to bar with ease and grace – I treat these like pearls, literally they are always in style.
I was actually surprised when I photographed these pumps, which I purchased in August, that they still look relatively new considering how much use I get out of them. They are often paired with a colorful shift dress and black tights or used to polish off a top and jeans look. Here are my six recommendations for black pumps at different price points:

Your are right. I just wish these styles came in slightly lower heels. Being almost 5’8″ I do not need to wear 4-6 inch heels. I have no desire to be 6’2″ Though they say the kitten heel is coming back. Hopefully!
