After a crazy two days of shopping I am going to sit on the couch and enjoy my big screen TV. Although it does not apply to right now, Nextflix and Hulu Plus are a great way to occupy time when away from my TiVo. I like these two software subscriptions so much that they influenced which phone I bought, the Driod Razr Maxx, so I would have a large screen, 5.2 x 2.7 inches, to view TV shows and movie better.
Netflix is great because I can queue up all of the movies I want to watch and then choose from them when I am bored, but my favorite is watching entire series with no commercials and through a completely legal and official channel. I have truly enjoyed watching the TV shows Bones, Cashmere Mafia, Drop Dead Diva, Felicity, How I Met Your Mother, Lie To Me, Mad Men, Pawn Stars, Tudors, White Collar and my all time favorite, Grey’s Anatomy re-runs.Although TV is great, I do use Netflix to watch a fair share of movies, most recently: Anna and the King, Blue Crush, Big Daddy, The Expendables, The Hunt for Red October, A Knight’s Tale, Never Been Kissed, Sense and Sensibility, She’s All That, Thor, Vanity Fair, and The Wedding Planner.
On Hulu, even with Hulu plus, I have to watch commercials, which makes it a step down from Netflix; however, the shows are online within 12 hours of airing for the first time, therefore in my mind these two providers are even. Hulu Plus allows me to queue my favorite shows and then watch them on the go, including on public transport. have 17 of my favorite shows queued up and in no particular order: Grey’s Anatomy, The Biggest Loser, Bones, New Girl, Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition, Smash, The Voice, Fashion Star, Scandal, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Revenge, Don’t Trust to B**** in Apt. 23, Suits, Burn Notice, White Collar, America’s Got Talent, Master Chef, Covert Affairs, and Burn Notice.

Oh my God, this saved me so much. So glad I stumbled upon this. Extremely helpful! My fiance and I are trying to save up Money for the wedding. We are looking everywhere to cut costs. Getting rid of our Time Warner Cable tv package is one of them, and switching to Netflix/Hulu Plus. My fiance also has a craptastic cell phone so knowing this about your phone and how you intertwine them is great info. I think you just convinced me! 🙂
