Another year, another birthday. As the girl who used to be the birthday queen in my teens and twenties, sometimes your 30’s just hit different. Maybe it is because I am pregnant and running around after a toddler but the fact my birthday is on a Friday doesn’t bring the same excitement it has in years past. I am thankful though that Mark and I have a babysitter for the 27th and will get to try out a new restaurant – date nights are now a gift in an of themselves.
With regards to presents, I didn’t think I had anything in mind and then I put together this wish list and remembered oh yes, I do, haha. For a brief overview of this year’s picks: my passport holder from 2014 is literally ripping and falling apart and it would be great to get a new one before our next trip (eek) in mid October. For the hat, I have it in white and navy would be the perfect compliment. The boots? I had a pair from Target last season but they did not make it through the Winter and given how easy they are to just slide on – both chasing after Lily and with with a belly getting bigger – it feels necessary. And for the concealer and conditioner, I am nearly running out of both of these holy grail products so what better time than your birthday to ask for new ones!

The two other items almost made the list but at the last minute I left them off. The first, I would like a fancier watch strap for my Apple Watch but I have heard mixed reviews about the Kendra Scott Alex 5 Link Watch Band in Gold Tonel ($158) so until I see it in person, it’s not making the cut. Second, I had wanted another pair of Office Loafers but they did not make the list for two reasons – first, sadly the brand is not available in the US and second, there are not any that I particularly love. Sad face. Stay tunes though, they might make my Christmas wish list!
Lastly, this year the splurge item on my list is the David Yurman Classic Cable Bracelet with pearls. I’ve had the topaz for 20(?!?) years now and want to add to the stack. Super pricey though and I am between two styles Sterling Silver with 14K Yellow Gold and Pearls, 5mm ($595) and the Sterling Silver with Pearls and Diamonds, 5mm ($695)

Not sure if you have bought any LuLu lately? Was reading about a loss in quality and I have been a bit gunshy about spending that much money unless they are going to last.
So disapointing when a go to brand starts messing around with their product quality. Thoughts?
