It is crazy to think that this Spring marks 15 years since I attended my first fashion show – FIFTEEN years! That is actually longer than Sparkles & Shoes has been around as I went to my first show in high school, but I will save that for a different day.
While living in New York I attended New York Fashion Week catwalks, presentations, and events from 2013 to 2018 before moving to England. Then for the past five years I have attended events nearly every season of London Fashion Week that has gone ahead. In 2019 I also had the opportunity to attend Milan Fashion Week just before COVID struck. This means the only one of the big four I have not been to is Paris and while I was invited this season (eek!) it just did not work with my schedule. Fingers crossed at some point I will get the opportunity to attend but it will have to be at least another six months.
This season, February 2023 in which the Autumn / Winter 2023 collections are shown, I was invited to nearly a dozen events but sadly due to weekend plans, work, and generally not feeling well I was only able to attend a handful. However, I do want to share snapshots of the my week. I started on Friday afternoon with the Untitlab AW23 Presentation in the Crypt Gallery. This presentation was a live performance format and was a truly unique event:
A selfie to cap off the presentation in the crypt and another walking into the venue for the Global Fashion collective show. On Sunday I headed to Protein Studios in Shoreditch for a the Global Fashion Collective’s runway show which featured three emerging designers. It is the same venue as Pam Hogg show I went to last season, though this one featured designs from BlueTamburin, Eduardo Ramos, and Iann Dey. You may have seen some of these designs in my IG reel but as more than 40 looks went down the runway and here are some of my favorites:

Hmmm really love the first two gold dresses. I can only immagine how the first one shimmers down the runway and would be a certain show stopper at any event. Now if I could only get the body to go with the dress.
Looks like it was such a fun show, jealous.

I really love that coat. I can’t tell if it’s light blue or light gray but it is stunning. The pleats with the is it ivory inlay is stunning, and it must be gorgeous to watch that live down the runway. So elegant I really think it’s so well designed.
