Posing with the Tower Bridge on the South Bank
As you may have read on Friday or seen on Instagram one of my best friends was in town this weekend – making her my first London visitor! We had a great time exploring the city and hit many of the most famous attractions along with some other hotspots. On Saturday the weather was sunny at 75 and Sunday we were treated with another gorgeous day and temperatures in the high 60’s – perfect for walking around and taking in the sites! Take a look at what we got up to on our London tourist weekend:
The prime minster’s house at 10 Downing Street
Kitty with a Horse at the Horse Guards Parade
Brunch at new hotspot Avobar (full post coming soon)
Gorgeous Flowers in Covent Garden
The London Eye from Westminster BridgeShakespeare Mural by the Shakespeare Globe Tower Bridge from the South Bank
Walking Across Tower Bridge Kitty and Red Phone Booth
The official map that came with my new membership (yay!) . The Tower of London is undoubtably one of my favorite attractions in London and when I realized if you visit only twice in one year it is less expensive to buy a membership I bought one!
Guard at the Tower of London
Where the Crown Jewels are guarded at the Tower of London – every time I go I forget you can not take photos and get just a bit sad. You will all just have to go for yourselves!
Sunday was the London marathon and we watched a bit, catching the elite club men at Mile 25.
Before champagne high tea on Sunday.
The start of our two hour afternoon high tea at the Royal Horseguards
We had a great time and I am thankful Kitty is here for a few more days – more time to hang out and someone to help me do the cursory move into my new place – eek, so exciting! And believe it or not there is tons of our London tourist weekend not pictured above like our dinner in Fitzrovia, shopping trip to Harrods, or our Sunday evening of BBQ and live Blues!
Would you like to see more London content?

I would love to see more photos and suggestions for places to visit. That convent gardens flower shot makes me want to get on a plane right now and visit.
It is always so helpful to have travel and sightseeing tips from someone who is there and who likes the same things that I do.
Thanks Kelly!

What a wonderful weekend! I’ve been to London once, but only for a day, and I can’t wait to go back! If you are looking for a fun tourist-y dinner spot we got fish and chips across from Parliament where Dickens used to hang out and the food was really good and the atmosphere was fun! Happy Monday, xAllie
