Independence Day is right around the corner and believe it or not, I almost forgot. At the start of June you could barely walk a block in London without seeing purple posters, banners, or memorabilia to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee. However, Fourth of July in England is nearly the exact opposite of the Jubilee – why would they celebrate a day where they lost a war and a very profitable piece of the British Empire?
My husband, being British, calls the 4th of July traitor day but as nearly half of my readers are in the United States – and I am still an American – it is still a cause for celebration. In my online shopping endeavours over the past few weeks I came across the adorable patriotic collection at Pink Lily and then began seeing stars and stripes on a half dozen more sites including American Eagle, Etsy, Free People, and Lulus as well as Nordstrom, Shein and Target. Going to get the swim rings for my annual 4th of July pool party . Not sure if they will get to me in time but great idea to add color to the pool and easy to store.

Hmm I like both sets of bathing suits especially the one with the ruffle on it.
Will be really flattering I think as I have big shoulders and not a huge bust.
