You may have seen in past Instagram posts where I have featured my ideal bath set up – warm water, epsom salts, bath bombs, and Sex and the City reruns. Thus, when someone asked me about a guestbook as part of our wedding planning the first thing I thought of was Carrier asking Miranda “Are you sure you can leave the Guest Book unattended?” and it made me laugh out loud. If you are not a fan of the show or don’t remember this exact moment in season two a friend the four ladies makes Charlotte a bridesmaid and Miranda is demoted to the one who has to ask everyone to sign the wedding guest book.
To be honest, when I was thinking of our reception a wedding guest book was not something I was planning on doing but as I keep reminding myself – this is not just my wedding. It turns out Mark likes the idea of a wedding guest book but he had no specific ideas. Thus I started thinking outside the box and the only thing I knew when I starter was that it was not going to be a book. As we approach the six-month countdown to our new wedding data here are some of the non traditional options I have come across.

I was surprised when googling things like “unique guest book ideas” there were so many that were still books, just with something like a monogrammed cover. No thank you, no books in my wedding. I hope you like these options I have found though I must be honest, I did omit one as I do not want to show you want we are going will. For those readers who will be coming to our big day, we still want to surprise you with a few touches!

Sure beats the old traditional actual book that I bet no one ever looked at once they got past the first few months of the wedding.
