With a bit over eight months until my wedding my list of priorities has certainly shifted. With eight months to go you have a ton more time to get things sorted and since we had to post-pone our date I am trying to savour the little details. One of these wedding things is finding things that align to the old saying of something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. This traditional rhyme shares what brides should wear on their wedding day as a sign of good luck and I’ve definitely got the something new – my dress! Today though I want to focus on the last bit, the something blue, and s it just me or is anyone else surprised that the custom of something blue is actually British?

These items are all things I could see myself wearing on my big day but in case you need even more ideas I loved this Vogue article of Something Blue Ideas.
Do you have any ideas for what I should wear for my something blue?

That hair clip is really pretty. Elegant without being overdone.
That would be my vote. I am sure whatever you choose will be fantastic. You have great taste.

Those blue shoes are to die for…I need to order them right now for any going out event.
Very chic Kelly.

My daughter is getting married and we have been talking about her something blue. I suggested a necklace that has been in the family for generations but it really doesn’t go with her dress.
These are some interesting options that we had never thought of. Are blue shoes becoming a thing?

That ring box is so pretty, I might get it and I am not even engaged Hoping to be one day soon!
How do I nudge my boyfriend to get with it????

Would not be my choice for something blue but you are such a trend setter that you just might start something…

I think you should definitely wear blue shoes for your wedding!
