Oscar Worthy Shoes

Sparkles and Shoes, Sparkles and Shoes. It is the name of the blog but according to a handful of readers I do not talk about Sparkles or Shoes enough.  Well ladies, today I plan to change that.  More than a year ago I began a series called my dream shoes and covered a variety of categories and recently I have taken a break but I am going to restart the series today!  

I am not sure what it is about this year but I am extra excited about the Oscars.  If I had to guess, it is because I thought that Eddie Redmayne’s portrayal of  Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything was an Oscar-worthy performance if I have ever seen one  (I have mentioned here and here) and because I have been underwhelmed by this year’s red carpets and am hoping Sunday night makes up for it.  As you saw on Monday, if I was able to attend the show I would go full red carpet glamour with my makeup but the dress and shoes would play an important role.  Last year one of the stand-out pairs of shoes were Giuliana Rancic’s nude satin bejeweled web-strap Sergio Rossi stilettos.

Today, these are the shoes that I would wear to the 87th Academy Awards this weekend.  Granted, the shoes would be determined by the dress and hopefully with the guidance of a masterful celebrity stylist like Micaela Erlanger by my side. These are my top six:
