Happy Friday and happy last official Fashion Friday of the year! In a week I will be posting my top looks of 2020 as part of my year in review series and the following Friday? That’s 2021, eek! So for this last look I bring you two trends I thought I would never be on board with, never mind together! For a day date I paired this floral quilted jacket with white jeans and black heeled boots for a statement look fit for a chilly winter afternoon.
The first trend I thought I wouldn’t get on board with? A quilted jacket. At the end of university and few years after I had a big puffy green jacket that while warm was not the most flattering (you can see it here). After that coat I swore off quilted jackets as unflattering but I have sense come around – as talking as they are not too padded and have some tailoring they can be quite cute! Plus this Ted Baker floral quilted jacket adds an extra pop with the pattern and the fact it can be compressed into a small bag. The second Trend is white after Labor Day, particularly white jeans, but I have found they are a nice neutral to pair with an otherwise dark outfit. Take a look:
