Does the picture above just give you a calm sense of organization? If you have not watched the show Getting Organized with the Home Edit this may not mean much to you but first I recommend you go binge the eight episodes of show on Netflix and then come back here. Or maybe you like things organized you don’t have to watch the show, you just know this is so for you!
After watching Clea and Joanna redo 16 spaces in the show – from playrooms to garages – I got very inspired to update some of the spaces in our apartment. I love that half of the spaces were celebrities – from Eva Longoria and Neil Patrick Harris to Khloe Kardashian and Rachel Zoe – and half were those of every day people. Of the episodes my favortie was probably the one where they redid Reese Witherspoon’s second closet to showcase all of her memorabilia including red carpet gowns and outfits from set. Take a look at the finished room below and see how many Legally Blonde pieces you can find:

On their Instagram you can see gorgeous photos like this and so much more but you can also shop all of the items they used in her closet on their site. (Bruiser Woods in her purse is still my favorite – they talk about it a bunch in the episode.) I had seen work from the Home Edit before the show though unknowingly with Khloe Kardashian’s pantry and the combination inspired me to pick up a few items:

Hopefully in a future post I can show you how I used these products and more in our flat but to be honest, some things we should lead to the professionals. Below you can find my favorite organization pieces that the ladies used in the first season and the link to each (all from the Container Store) below each product in case you need more Home Edit inspiration in your life:

If you live in the US I am so jealous that you can shop these products at your leisure. If you are like me and live in the United Kingdom I do have some good news for you – a slight adjustment to the range is available at John Lewis & Partners. It is still The Home Edit and here it is in collaboration with iDesign and there are 37 different items available. I have purchased three so far and have many more on my wish list! And to make it a bit easier, I have rounded my favorites:
What do you think of this Home Edit inspiration?

I love the idea of clear storage. It really lets me see everything I have in the fridge. I think it would really reduce the waist that I sometimes have. Makes your fridge looks so organized and inviting. Will have to give it a try.

I have not seen the show but it looks like my kind of program. I will add it to my list and it might make a great Christmas present for myself. Thanks, Kelly

The color coding in the wardrobe/closet is terrific. I’m going to have to give that a try.
More times than I care to admit I’ve left the house and realized there was an accessory that would’ve gone perfect with an outfit. If everything was color coordinated I wouldn’t forget so easily.

Boy I wish my fridge could look that good right now especially with thanksgiving going on it looks like a bomb exploded in there. Looks like a really good New Year’s resolution thing to do.

My favorite room that they transformed on the show was the twins playroom. The organization made such a difference and I would be thrilled if that was my house.
